Hey there, I’m Rhodes.

If you caught the line on the home page, the summary still holds: feral 80’s kid, mostly harmless, and my opinions are strictly my own (nobody else volunteered to take ownership of them anyway).

The “Day Job” (Without the Corporate Speak)

By trade, I am the Chief Compliance Officer and a member of the Board of Directors at Teksouth, a technology and business intelligence firm specializing in defense and federal government systems.

I’ve been with Teksouth for over 25 years. I didn’t arrive in the executive suite by way of polished pitch decks — I started out as a teenager doing whatever odd jobs needed doing for the founder, running cables, and learning mainframe systems from the ground up. Over the decades, I’ve worn just about every hat in the building:

• Mainframe & Systems Tinkerer, back when data ran on reels and terminal text was green.
• Contract & Business Manager, learning how the gears of federal procurement actually turn.
• Facility Security Officer (FSO), keeping clearances, facilities, and strict defense security regulations airtight.
• Interim Chief Revenue Officer, helping navigate strategic growth and leadership transitions.
• Chief Compliance Officer & Corporate Secretary, ensuring our operations, federal defense contracting obligations, and governance stay bulletproof.

If there’s an intricate labyrinth of federal regulations, enterprise data, or organizational puzzles to solve, that’s where I’m usually found.

Beyond the Desk

When I’m away from regulations, audits, and spreadsheets:

• Tinkering & Tech: I enjoy building with modern web tech, automations, and exploring new tools.
• Teaching & Deep-Dives: I write textual study notes and teach Bible classes, bringing the same analytical curiosity to ancient texts and historical context that I bring to complex systems.
• Life: Proud husband, father, and quiet observer of modern life.
